Let your guests through the building door without being there

You have a smart lock or key box on the flat's front door, but the building's street door still needs someone to buzz guests in. SoundKey sorts it out: when the guest rings the intercom on their arrival day, the door opens by itself.

Self check-in, at the building door too

1

Connect your reservations

Paste the iCal link from Airbnb, Booking or your channel manager, or add reservations by hand. There's also an API for PMSs.

2

Choose the arrival window

For example, from 14:00 to 23:59 on check-in day. Outside that window, SoundKey opens for nobody.

3

The guest rings and walks in

They ring your flat on the intercom, SoundKey hears the buzzer and opens the door. The app shows you what time they came in.

The guest link

Every booking has its own link, and the guest installs nothing

Send it on WhatsApp or with your arrival instructions. It works from check-in day to check-out day, so they can also use it to get back in. When they arrive, they tap “I'm about to ring”, ring your flat and the door opens. If they open it too early, the page politely tells them when it will be available.

You can also create links for cleaning or maintenance staff, with days and hours: for example, Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 14:00.

Why it beats giving out a door code

Many buildings have no keypad at the street door, and those that do share the same code with everyone. With SoundKey, the guest gets a personal link that only works during their stay, and rings your flat like any other visitor.

  • Only opens on each booking's day, in the window you choose
  • No meeting anyone, no leaving keys at a bar
  • Works with the building's existing intercom: no need to ask for it to be replaced
  • Battery powered: no socket needed next to the intercom
  • Several flats in one account, each with its own SoundKey
  • Every opening and the battery level logged in the app
Free gift

And guest registration, sorted too

With SoundKey you get the first year of the Premium plan of GoToCheck.pro, our online check-in software, for free. The guest registers from their phone, the mandatory guest report is sent automatically to Spain's SES.Hospedajes and, once they finish, they receive the code for the flat's lock. With SoundKey at the building door, arrival is automated from start to finish: registration, building door and flat.

  • Online check-in from the phone, no app to download
  • ID card and passport scanner, rental agreement and digital signature
  • Guest reports sent automatically to SES.Hospedajes, Mossos or Ertzaintza
  • Smart locks: a unique code per booking, sent when check-in is completed
  • Tourist tax collection, extras (cot, parking, late check-out…) and invoices
  • One year free: worth €89.40 + VAT per property (€7.45/month)

Questions from hosts

How does self check-in work with SoundKey?

The guest arrives, rings your flat on the intercom at the street door and SoundKey opens because it's their arrival day. Then they let themselves into the flat with your smart lock or key box. You don't need to be there or answer.

What if the guest arrives late or a day early?

Outside their booking window the door doesn't open. You can extend the window from the app, or switch SoundKey on for the next few hours in seconds.

Does it integrate with my channel manager or PMS?

It reads any iCal calendar (Airbnb, Booking, Vrbo and most channel managers). For direct integrations there's an API to create and delete reservations.

Do I need permission from the community of owners?

SoundKey is installed inside your intercom handset, which is in your home; the building's shared installation isn't touched. Even so, if your flat is in a community of owners (comunidad de propietarios) with its own rules on access, it's worth checking with them.
